Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 July 2026

These terms govern use of Stroma (stromaapp.netlify.app), operated by [OPERATOR ENTITY, ABN — pending confirmation] ("Stroma", "we").

1. The service

Stroma is a faculty-management tool for Australian school teachers: timetables, teaching programs and delivery records, staffing, meetings, cover notes, compliance summaries, a units library, and AI-assisted generation of teaching resources and report comments. It is provided to teachers and schools — students may not hold accounts.

2. Accounts and eligibility

3. Plans and fees

4. AI features and fair use

5. Your data (school data)

6. Content licences

(a) Stroma Library Content (the built-in units, lessons, handouts, decks and other materials we author): we grant each subscribing faculty a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use, adapt and print Library Content for teaching within the subscribing school for the subscription term (and to retain copies already distributed to students). You must not redistribute, publish, sell, or share Library Content (or adaptations of it) outside your school, including on resource-sharing platforms. Attribution notices (e.g. ACARA attribution on exports) must not be removed.

(b) Curriculum content: Australian Curriculum content included in the service is © ACARA, used under CC BY 4.0 with the prescribed attribution carried on relevant exports; that licence, not clause 6(a), governs the curriculum text itself. State syllabus content appears only where and when licensed.

(c) Your content: you keep all rights in programs, units and resources you author or import. You grant us the limited licence needed to host, process and display them to your faculty (and, where you use AI features, to transmit relevant text to our AI providers to fulfil your request).

7. Acceptable use

No: attempting to access another school's or faculty's data; probing or circumventing security rules; reselling or timesharing the service; scraping the built-in content library; using the service to store data of students or staff beyond its designed fields; unlawful, infringing or harmful content. We may suspend accounts that endanger other users' data, with notice where practicable.

8. Availability and support

The service is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis appropriate to its scale. We may modify features with reasonable notice of material reductions. Support is by email at hello@stroma.com.au; we aim to respond within 1 business day.

9. Consumer guarantees and liability

10. Term, suspension, termination

Subscriptions renew until cancelled (cancel any time; paid term runs out its period). We may terminate for material breach unremedied after 14 days' notice, or immediately for serious security abuse. Clauses 5, 6, 9 and 11 survive termination.

11. General

Governing law: New South Wales, Australia. We may update these terms with 30 days' notice for material changes (continued use after notice is acceptance; if you don't accept, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees for the unexpired period). Notices to hello@stroma.com.au and your account email. No assignment without consent, except we may assign to a corporate successor.
